Philosophy

The ESL Department believes in the effectiveness of learning to speak, understand, and write the English language through immersion. Students who are developing their English skills have the opportunity to interact with students and adults who are proficient in speaking the language at school, in the dorms, during weekend activities, and as guests in the day students’ homes. The ESL Department provides Individual and small group instructions while offering varying curriculum opportunities. These opportunities meet the needs of emergent and continuing English language learners while challenging them to achieve their full potential.
